To sample an effective specimen earth, by providing a collar at the outer periphery of the upper end of a cylinder and providing a vertially divisible inner cylinder so as to be able to insert in or pull out of the outer cylinder while sliding it, in which a blade edge is fitted at the front end of the cylinder.
A blade edge 2 is provided in the front end of a cylindrical body to form the outer cylinder 1. And a collar 6 is provided at the outer periphery of the upper end of the cylindrical body and an inner cylinder 5 is formed so as to be vertically divisible into a plurality of parts. The inner cylinder 5 is arranged in the outer cylinder 1 and the cylindrical body is set on the ground face of a sampling position for earth. The outer and inner cylinders 1, 5 are pressed in a ground B by use of a pressing-in tool like a jack 12, by using a heavy construction machine or the like as a reaction plate 11 and a specimen earth C is taken in the inner cylinder 5. After the pressing-in tool has been removed, the outer cylinder and the inner cylinder are pulled out of the ground B. And further, the inner cylinder 5 is pulled out of the outer cylinder 1 and the inner cylinder is divided to take out the specimen earth C.
