Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sand guard bench having functions to collect and drain water in strata with simple construction and execution.
SOLUTION: A plurality of retaining walls having the same specification are erected at proper intervals vertically in multiple parallel stages and subjected to the sand guard execution in the rear surface of the retaining wall 11, so that water-proof earth and sand layers 51 are stepwise formed on a water-proof sheet 41 to provide a sand guard bench. Also, a plurality of drain ports 12 are formed in the lower part of the retaining wall in the longitudinal direction, and a drain pipe 21 is inserted in one of drain ports 12. The drain pipe 21 on the respective stages are connected to each other, and water collecting pipes are inserted in all other drain ports 12 with respect to the retaining walls 11 of the respective stages. These water collecting pipes are connected through a communicating pipe to the drain pipe. All drain pipes, water collecting pipes and communicating pipes are embedded in the earth and sand layer 51, while the height of the earth and sand layers 51 on the respective stages are approximately equalized to the upper end of the retaining wall 11 on the same stage.
