Abstract:

PURPOSE: To construct a sand mound foundation by using sand at a construction site and to construct a foundation for support to a structure in a state to cover its surface by applying pressure force by a composite mat member at the time of constructing a reclaimed land mid partition levee and a temporary closing levee.
CONSTITUTION: A sand mound foundation 5 is constructed by accumulating sand produced at the time of constructing a sand compaction pile 3 and provided by neighbouring dredging, etc., the surface of the sand mound foundation 5 is covered by a composite mat member 10 and mats 15, 16 are arranged on both end parts of the composite mat member 10 at the time of constructing a reclaimed mid partition levee, etc. Additionally, frictional force is increased by arranging a mat 17 between a structure 20 and the composite mat member 10. The composite mat member 10 is made to have corrosion preventive work against sand of the sand mound foundation 5 by using a material polymerized with a fiber sheet of a nature to pass water but not to allow passing of sand and a wire gauze as a reinforcing member.
