Abstract:
To provide a sandbag sealed therein with a super absorbent material that absorbs water and swells in a short time, while resisting being washed away even at substantial flow velocities, and allowing easy transportation.
A freely openable fastener is provided on either the front or back of the sandbag made of vegetable fibers woven like gores with each end folded back inward. The super absorbent material having a bulk density of 1.1 to 2.0 when absorbing water and swollen, which is obtained by liquefying vegetable fiber powders using methyl alcohol and kneading a super absorbent polymer and calcium bicarbonate into this liquefied matter, is sealed inside the sandbag.
