PURPOSE: To provide a sanitary article holding device in which a sanitary article can be replaced cleanly, and which provides favorable usage operation.
CONSTITUTION: This sanitary article holding device is provided with an outer cylinder 11 having an aperture 14 at one end, an inner cylinder 12 having a holding part 16 at a tip for holding a sanitary article, that is a toothbrush 5 for cleaning provided with a holder 30, in the condition where it is protruded from the aperture 14, a slit 22 formed to be extended axially from the holding part 16, and an interference member 28 penetrating the slit 22 and energized to a position where it invades into the inner cylinder 12. The interference member 28 is position-changeable between a position where it penetrates the slit to interfere with the holder 30, and a position where it is disconnected from the holder 30 by a part of the inner cylinder 12 where the slit 22 is absent. The holding part 16 comprises an axial hole 16b on the axial center for holding the sanitary article in the condition where it is protruded from the aperture 14 along the axial center, diagonal holes 16d, 16e for holding the sanitary article in the condition where it is inclined from the aperture 14 to the axial direction, and a communication hole 16c to communicate the axial hole 16b with the diagonal holes 16d, 16e.
