To provide a sanitation paper roll that is compact but bulky despite the elongated wound length thereof and has excellent water absorption and strength.SOLUTION: A two-ply sanitation paper roll 10 with embossment 2 has a basis weight of one ply of 13 to 29 g/m, a paper thickness of 1.0 to 3.2 mm/10 pcs, a roll length of 15 to 60 m, a roll density of 0.4 to 1.0 m/cm, the number of pieces of embossment of 300 to 1600 pcs/100 cm, an average area per embossment of 1.0 to 7.0 mm/embossment and an embossment depth of 0.10 to 0.60 mm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
