Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I (R is formula II or H) having the following properties. White powder. Solubility; slightly soluble in water, chloroform and ethyl acetate and soluble in methanol. Inhibiting proliferation of mouse leukemic cell L1210. Ultraviolet absorption spectrum (1% methanol solution); only the terminal absorption.
USE: An antitumor agent.
PREPARATION: A sponge having the ability to produce I-22A is extracted with an organic solvent, such as methanol, to collect the objective saponin using extraction column chromatography, high-performance liquid chromatography, etc.
