To easily mount a sash roller to a sliding door by providing on a main body adapted to be received in a receiving cavity of the sliding door a projecting body, which can be thrust into the sliding door by driving the main body into the cavity.

A box-shaped main body 2 of a sash roller 1 having thin width, with its top and bottom sides being opened, includes left and right side walls 5, 5, bottom walls 6, 6, and double-walled front and rear walls 7, 7 which are prepared by pressing metal plates. Next, a wheel 3 made of a synthetic resin is rotatably mounted to the main body 2. And a pair of front, rear projecting bodies 4 each having a nearly triangular shape is formed integrally at the top end of each of the side walls 5, 5 of the body 2 so as to project upward. The body 2 of the roller 1 is inserted into a receiving cavity in the underside of a sliding door and driven into the cavity by means of a driving tool such as a hammer, whereupon the bodies 4 are thrust into the top wall of the sliding door, and hence the sash roller 1 can be easily mounted.
