Title:
SATELLITE ANTENNA ALIGNMENT SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH02180403
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To shorten the antenna installation time by measuring a relative alignment position of an antenna to at least two reference satellites and processing this measured value in accordance with an algorithm by stored data indicating relative positions of a prescribed satellite and reference satellites. CONSTITUTION: The alignment position of an antenna 14 is measured to two reference satellites S1 and Sn . A control processor 22 processes this measured value in accordance with a first algorithm by stored data indicating the alignment position of a reference antenna 32 to plural satellites S1 to Sn-1 and Sn . The alignment position to each satellites S1 to Sn-1 and Sn determined by the processor 22 is stored in a position of a memory 18. Consequently, the stored alignment position related to a prescribed satellite is accessed and a controller 10 is made move an actuator 12 so as to rotate the antenna 14, thus rotating the antenna 14 to align it to any prescribed satellite.
