PURPOSE: To prevent a satellite signal from being interrupted by sending a signal for a stopped wave from other transponder, as well when one of two transponders for vertically polarized wave and horizontally polarized wave transmission is faulty.

CONSTITUTION: A satellite signal of a channel 1 in a vertically polarized wave from a communication satellite 1 and a satellite signal of a channel 11 in a horizontally polarized wave and when a transponder for horizontally polarized wave transmission is troubled, since the transmission of the signal of the channel 11 is not implemented, a channel 3 is selected for the vertically polarized wave to send the satellite signal of the same information content. The signals are received by a reception antenna 2 and the result is outputted from a vertically polarized wave output terminal 3b of an orthogonally polarized wave separation demultiplexer 3. Thus, the information of the satellite signal of the channel 3 (same content as channel 11) of vertically polarized wave is received by a television receiver 19.
