PURPOSE: To manufacture a saw which is a good cutter without defects in high-frequency quenching by providing setting feature with hard material welded to at least the tip portions on one face side, showing alternately different appearance, of a series of saw teeth.
CONSTITUTION: Notchings are formed in a quenched steel shaped into a saw figure to apply a series of crests 10, 10... which are to be saw teeth. By applying such crests 10, 10... there is no distortion if the saw figure becomes hot in welding hard material in the next process. Next, the hard material is welded to one face side, showing alternately different appearance, of each of the crests 10, 10... The hard material 2 is heated at a high temperature, melted and deposited to the crests in drips. For the saw teeth which are done with the welding of the hard material 2, the hard material 2 is often unequally swollen on both side faces and on the upper side, and so the welded hard material is ground by a grinder on both side faces and at the upper edges. Next, tooth built-in work is done by using a jig such as a diamond cutter to complete saw teeth 1.
