PURPOSE: To perform the efficient positioning of a saw plate material by providing first push mechanism for bringing the tip edge of the saw plate material into contact with a first positioning member, and second push mechanism for bringing the machined edge of the saw plate material into contact with second positioning members.

CONSTITUTION: A fitting member 9 is disposed on a carrier base 1. The fitting member 9 is provided with a first positioning member 10 with which the tip edge W4 of a saw plate material W are be brought into contact, and at least two second positioning members 11 that can be brought into contact with the machined edge W5 adjacent to the tip edge W4. The saw plate material W transferred one at a time is placed on the carrier base 1. The tip edge W4 of this saw plate material W is then pushed into contact with the first positioning member 10 by first push mechanism 14, and the machine edge E5 of the saw plate material W is pushed into contact with the second positioning members 11 by second push mechanism 15 so as to position the saw plate material W by the first and second positioning members 10, 11. In this positioned state, the saw plate material W is clamp-fixed by clamp mechanism 23.
