PURPOSE: To obtain this saw setting machine of a saw that can beat the saw by the same beating force every one saw edge and can be used for an ordinary saw and a circular saw without needing special technique and skill.

CONSTITUTION: When a saw is bent at the desired angles left and right by beating a saw edge every one edge, that is, a saw is set, an anvil plate 15 is sliding-adjusted on a mount 14 so that a tapered portion, which is adapted to the dimensions and kinds of the saw that must be set, of a tapered surface 16 of the anvil plate 15 be located just under a beating portion 18a of a rod-shaped hammer body 18, and the saw 34 is placed on the anvil plate 15. When a lever 24 is pushed down under this condition, the nose lifts a connecting piece 23, and the rod-shaped hammer body 18 is raised against the force of a spring 19. When the push-down of the lever 24 is released here, the hammer body 18 suddenly falls by means of the spring 19, and the beating portion 18a downward beats saw edge 34', thus setting the saw along said tapered surface 16.
