PURPOSE: To ensure the high precision of feed, and enable the pitch of punched teeth and the number thereof to be easily set by providing an intermittently rotatable control motor in a mechanism of reciprocating motion for causing the reciprocating motion of the placement seat of a saw blade material, regarding a saw-tooth punch for determining the set of saw teeth on the saw blade of the material.

CONSTITUTION: Prior to a work for punching saw teeth, a hammering and bending position for a saw blade M, and the pitch and number of punched teeth are set with an initial setting means provided in a control means. Also, a saw blade material W is placed on and fixed to a placement seat 2 in properly positioned state with a clamp mechanism 4. Then, the control motor 10 of a reciprocating mechanism 9 is actuated to continuously move the seat 2 toward the blade edge of the material W and, then, stop the seat 2 at a home position. The saw-tooth punching motor 18 of a saw-tooth punch mechanism 15 is, then, driven to oscillate a hammering arm 19 in a downward direction via the action of a cam 21, and a saw blade M is hammered and bent with a hammering and bending lever 28 under springing pressure. Thereafter, the control motor 10 is actuated, depending upon the set pitch of teeth. The seat 2, after shifted by a distance corresponding to the pitch, is stopped to hammer and bend the next saw blade M.
