Title:
SAW-TOOTH WAVE SIGNAL GENERATOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS55154818
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To generate with excellent linearity a saw-tooth wave signal covering high and low frequencies by inhibiting a leakage current from flowing to a semiconductor switch by providing a reverse-diased diode while exercising control over the charge and discharge of a capacitor by a semiconductor switch.

CONSTITUTION: Miller integrating circuit 1 consists of the RC integrator, composed of variable resistor R and capacitor C, and amplifier A and its input voltage is supplied from constant voltage source E. Here, the charge and discharge of capacitor C are controlled by semiconductor switch ST and reverse-biased diode D is provided so as to inhibit a leakage current from flowing to switch ST. Consequently, saw- tooth signals extending from a high frequency to a low frequency can be generated with excellent linearity.
