PURPOSE: To enhance the scanning accuracy of a deflection scanner in a system for forming an optical image, e.g. a laser printer.
CONSTITUTION: A blank 10 having the function of a rotor yoke for forming a magnetic circuit of a rotary shaft and a permanent magnet 11 is bonded with the permanent magnet 11 and a polygon mirror 12 thus providing the rotor for scanner motor. In the stator, a bearing holder 13 has the function of stator yoke for closing the magnetic circuit of the permanent magnet 11 as well as the function for wrapping the bearings 14, 15. The bearing 14 is bonded to the bearing holder 13 and the housing 16 is secured thereto by means of a screw 17. A board 20 mounting a magnet wire 18 and a Hall element 19 and subjected to patterning is also secured to the housing 16 by means of a screw 17. The bearings 14, 15 are then press fitted over the blank 10 thus supporting the rotor.
