Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold a linear array at a predetermined position with respect to an image carrier without providing extremely high rigidity to the linear array in a scanning apparatus constituted of a linear LED array and a lens array attached to an elongated holder. SOLUTION: A holder 14 is housed in end blocks 18, 19 extending to the outside of the holder at a right angle with respect to an array 11. An adjusting rod 30 is attached across the end blocks 18, 19 and projections 23, 24 and bending moment is allowed to act on the holder by a compression spring 32 to compensate the bending of the array 11.
