To provide a scanning optical device having high rigidity which is easily manufactured using an opaque member as a laser holder which is fixed by using a photosetting adhesive having an excellent workability.
The scanning optical device has: a laser light source; one or more imaging means which focus the laser luminous flux emitted from the laser light source; a light source supporting member which supports the laser light source; a lens supporting body which supports at least one of the imaging means; and a transparent supporting body. The scanning optical device is characterized in that the light source supporting member is adhered and fixed by using the photosetting adhesive between a plurality of supporting bodies and at least one of the supporting bodies is a transparent member.
