Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a scanning optical unit in which pitch irregularity and jitter on an image caused by vibration from the vibrating source of an exposure optical system do not occur.
CONSTITUTION: This scanning optical unit 20 is fixed to two beams 30 and 31 being the housing attaching part of a main body by screws 33-35. An fθ lens 5 and a long cylindrical lens 6 are fixed to a housing 10 inside a triangle restricted area 40 surrounded by connecting fixed places by means of the screws 33-35. As to a rotating deflector 3, a bearing part (vibrating source) which supports the rotary shaft 3a of a polygonal motor is fixed to the housing no outside true restricted area 40.
