Abstract:
To provide a large-area scintillator having high resolution.SOLUTION: A scintillator comprises: columnar first crystal phases 101; second crystal phases 102 and third crystal phases 103 which are arranged so as to cover a side face of the first crystal phases 101, and each of which is columnar. The first crystal phases 101 are constituted of a halide. The second crystal phases 102 are constituted of a halide having a smaller refractive index than the first crystal phases 101. The third crystal phases 103 are constituted of a halide having a smaller refractive index than the first crystal phases 101, and is a compound different from the second crystal phases 102.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A
