Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide lightweight scissors having good cutting quality and its manufacture.

CONSTITUTION: In scissors 1 connected with scissors half bodies 5 each constituted of a cutting edge section 2, a shaft section 3, and a finger ring section 4 by a pair of shaft members 6, the cutting edge section 2 is constituted of a base iron section 7 and an edge metal section 8, the edge metal section 8 of the cutting edge section 2 is made of a cutter material, and the base iron section 7, the shaft section 3, and the finger ring section 4 are made of titanium or titanium alloy. The edge metal section 8 is connected to the base iron section 7 by a molten diffusion layer. Since the edge metal section 8 is made of the cutter material, the cutting quality is improved. Since the other portions are made of titanium or titanium alloy, the scissors 1 can be made lightweight.
