PURPOSE: To prevent cord destruction on the inner side of the side wall portion of a tire at the time of running with double load without increasing the tire weight by composing a tire cord, whose distance between bead hills is less than 0.7 times the maximum tire width, of an organic fiber cord of a specified strength and making the cord distance between the carcass plies in a specified area two times the specified the cord diameter.
CONSTITUTION: A cord, which is buried in the carcass ply 18 of a tire 11 having a distance L between bead hills 23 less than 0.7 times the maximum tire width, is compose of an organic fiber cord of a strength more than 9.0g/d. The cord distance between plies is within the range of 0.5 to 2.0 times the cord diameter in an area S between positions A, B which are apart by 0.2, 0.4 times, respectively, the tire section height from the outer end in the radius direction of a bead core 12a on the utmost inner side in the axial direction toward the outer side in the radius direction. Thus cord destruction in the inner side of a side wall portion 14 can be prevent at the time of running with double load without increasing the tire weight.
