The screen exchanger for fluid includes: a casing body 10 having turning rod holes 15 for guiding columnar turning rods 2 so that they can turn about their central axes; and the plurality of turning rods 2 juxtaposed in the axial direction to be turnably inserted into the turning rod holes 15 respectively, the turning rods 2 each having fluid-passable passages formed inside the turning rod 2. The screen exchanger further includes: a turning drive shaft 3 connected to one end or both ends of the turning rod 2; and a filtering member 20 inserted inside the turning rod 2 coaxially with the turning rod 2. Here, an inlet main passage and an outlet main passage are prepared through the casing body 10, the main passages being arranged separately in the axial direction of the turning rod hole 15 so as to communicate with the fluid-passable passage 2a through an inlet communicating path and an outlet communicating path formed through an outer circumferential wall of the turning rod 2.
