Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-screen display device which can selectively fill an OSD(on-screen display) window with video signals of intermediate tones, fill the background screen of the OSD by selecting either one of OSD rasters of a variety of hues as necessary, and display the OSD rasters of the intermediate tones superimposed on the video signals of the intermediate tones on the background screen.
SOLUTION: An on-screen display device has three mixing and amplifying circuits 3, 4, 5 for R/G/B channels and a selection signal generating circuit 1, and an OSD window is controlled to a variety of display condition by OSD signals R-OSD, G-OSD, B-OSD for the R/G/B channels, a video/OSD switching signal V/O-SWITCH, an intermediate tone signal HT, and a plurality of OSD control signals HS0, HS1, all of which are supplied to the selection signal generating circuit 1.
