PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To flexibly change and correct a display screen by providing a 1st and a 2nd generation mode, generating screen data requiring modification of a transaction program in the 1st mode and screen data requiring no modification in the 2nd mode, and suppressing the generation of the screen data requiring the modification.
SOLUTION: A screen data generating device 2 has the two modes which are a basic mode and an extension mode. On this device 2, display components having transaction program modification necessary parts are allowed to added, altered, and deleted in the extension mode and managed differently from display components regarding mere display. The display components regarding the mere display are allowed to be added, altered, and deleted in both the basis mode and extension mode and in the basic mode, the display components having the transaction program modification necessary parts are inhibited from being altered. Therefore, the user can freely use the alteration of a screen which requires neither the modification nor correction of the transaction program.
