Abstract:
PURPOSE: To remarkably reduce the amount of a granular foreign matter such as plastic or sand mixed in a paper stock and bit into a slit opening and attached to a slit screen.
CONSTITUTION: In a screening apparatus obtained by combining a rotor 6 having projections 8 on the surface with a screen cylinder 1 in which bevelings 23 and 24 are applied on one side or both sides of the inlet corner part of a slit opening 19, when it is defined that prescribed space of the slit opening 19 is (C), the screening apparatus is constituted so that the length (L) from inlet end of the slit opening 19 to the outlet side is ≤π.C or below the slit space C.
