Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw compressor capable of reducing a load at the time of start, while being simply constructed with a smaller number of components.SOLUTION: A screw compressor 100 includes a bypass flow path 11 formed in a casing 1 to communicate a discharge port 7 with a low-pressure space 12. At the time of start or stop, a variable Vi valve 8 is moved toward one side and the discharge port 7 formed at the variable Vi valve 8 is lapped over a starting end side bypass opening part 11a of the bypass flow path 11, and then the bypass flow path 11 is opened. Except at the time of start or stop, the variable Vi valve 8 is moved toward the other side and the discharge port 7 is separated from the starting end side bypass opening part 11a, and then a seal face 8a of the variable Vi valve 8 covers the starting end side bypass opening part 11a to close the bypass flow path 11.
