Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a die from clogging of wires, strings and the like in a disposed material in a screw extruder.
SOLUTION: A carbide alloy chip 44 is installed on and end face 9b5 of a screw blade 9b1 of a screw. A holder 9c for installing the chip 44 is screwed into a screw 9d on the screw blade. When wires, strings and the like enter a die 35 and rear ends of them remain in a trough, although the die is blocked, the wires, strings and the like are cut by a blade edge 44d of the chip 44. The die is thus not blocked.
