Title:
SCREW REMACHINING METHOD FOR LATHE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3729956
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such a screw remachining method for a lathe as being capable of performing screw cutting of a work along the same spiral track as that before removed from a chuck, even when the work is once removed from the chuck and then remounted.
SOLUTION: The first screw cutting is performed in an (a) condition and, when in a (b) condition after a work is remounted, the end of a tool is matched to a given screw groove with manual operation to synchronize the rotation of a main spindle with the feed of the tool to the axial direction of the main spindle for finding the moving amount β of the tool in the axial direction of the main spindle upto the time when an one-turn signal for the main spindle is detected. Before screw cutting is started for remachining, the tool is moved by β forward. With the one-turn signal, the rotation of the work W is synchronized with the feed of the tool to a Z-direction, so that the spiral track of a screw in screw cutting after the work is remounted can be matched to the spiral track of the screw in screw cutting before removed.
