Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect the thread of the male screw of a ball tap main body made of a synthetic resin, by setting the strength of a nut to break the nut before the screw thread of the male screw comes to be broken, when the nut is fastened excessively.
SOLUTION: A ball tap main body is installed sandwichedly by holding the peripheral edge 32a of a through hole 32 by a collar part 33 and a nut 11, by inserting a male screw 2 in the through hole 32 of a tank 31, and fastening the nut 11 for installing screwed to the male screw 2. Furthermore, in the ball tap main body, the collar part 41a of a water pipe 41 is connected to the end face 2a of the male screw 2 through a packing 42, watertight by the pressure connecting force of a screwed box nut 21 for connecting the water pipe. And when the nut 11 (or 21) screwed to the ball tap main body is going to be fastened excessively more than necessary, the screw thread 13 (or 23) of the nut 11 (or 21) is broken before the thread 3 of the male screw 2 of the ball tap main body is broken, and as a result, the thread 3 of the male screw 2 of the ball tap main body is protected.
