PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scribe head and a scribe device capable of limiting an amount of fall of a scribing tool.SOLUTION: A scribe head 2 includes a wheel holder 228 on one end of which a cutter wheel 229 is attached, a driving part 21 and a lifting part 22 that moves the wheel holder 228 close to and away from a mother substrate G, and a stopper S1 that regulates the approach of the wheel holder 228 to the mother substrate G and regulates an amount of the approach of the wheel holder 228 to the mother substrate G. An amount of fall of the cutter wheel 229 that is possible is limited by the stopper S1. Thereby, the cutter wheel 229 can be prevented from cutting into the mother substrate G excessively, and an occurrence of a horizontal crack Hc in the mother substrate G can be suppressed.
