Abstract:
To provide a scroll chuck capable of solving the problem that it takes labor and time to manage and prepare a claw body when using a claw body formed of a simple substance.SOLUTION: A scroll chuck 1 comprises: a chuck body 2 internally provided with a rotary disc 22 having scroll grooves 21; and three claw bodies 3A, 3B, 3C screwed with the scroll grooves 21 with the rolling action of the rotary disc 22, and capable of screwing into a workpiece. The claw body 3A has a gripping part 31 for gripping the workpiece, engagement parts 32 formed on both lateral surfaces of the claw body 3A, and five tooth parts formed on the bottom of the claw body 3A and capable of being screwed with the scroll grooves 21. An array pitch TP of the five tooth parts 33 is the same as an array pitch SP of the scroll grooves 21. An edge face 33A at the radially outer side of the tooth part 33 is formed on a circular arc surface approximate to the curvature of a lateral face 21A at the radially outer side of the scroll groove 21, and a direction of curvature of the edge face 33A at the radially outer side of the tooth part 33, and a direction of curvature of an edge face 33B at the radially inner side of the tooth part 33 are mutually reversed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
