PURPOSE: To recognize around where on the sheet of paper a part displayed on a screen is positioned by displaying a present position display screen in addition to a document editing screen and to display parts to be displayed simultaneously at a document editing screen by specifying the parts to be displayed at the document editing screen on the present position display screen.
CONSTITUTION: When the display of the present position display screen is selected by a user, the present position display screen is displayed by a present position display screen display device 1 and a rectangular frame for indicating the present position is displayed by a rectangular frame display device 6 on coordinates found by a rectangular frame coordinate calculation device 2 on the present position display screen. Also, when the document editing screen is scrolled, the rectangular frame for indicating the present position is displayed on the coordinates found by a rectangular frame moving amount calculation device 3 by the rectangular frame display device 6. Further, when the rectangular frame for indicating the present position is moved, the scroll amount of the document editing screen can be obtained by a moving destination coordinate calculation device 4 and a scroll amount calculation device 5.
