PURPOSE: To cool a scroll type compressor without increasing the power of the compressor by providing a refrigerant passage for flowing the refrigerant, which is cooled outside of a closed housing, into the closed housing through a hollow chamber provided in an end plate of a fixed scroll.
CONSTITUTION: The gas or liquid refrigerant cools a scroll type compressor mechanism C such as a fixed scroll 1, a tuning scroll 2 or the like in the process of flowing inside of a hollow chamber 16A, and thereafter, the refrigerant enters into the inside of a closed housing 8 through an opening 17 to cool a motor M in this flowing process. Thereafter, the refrigerant enters to a second heat exchanger 94 through a second discharge pipe 84, and is condensation-liquefied. Temperature of the compression gas in a closed space 24 is lowered to reduce the specific volume by cooling the scroll type compressor mechanism C, and the refrigerating property 18 increased, and furthermore, trouble to be caused by over-heat of the motor M or the like is prevented. Consequently, in this case different from the case that the refrigerant liquid is filled to a closed space, increase of the required power of the compressor is eliminated to improve the coefficient of result of a refrigerating device.
