PURPOSE: To remove a corner part due to a dimensional deviation by forming a cut-out in a specific one of a plurality of scrolls which cooperate with each other so as to form compression chambers, and to prevent overcompression by communicating a plurality of compression chamber with each other.
CONSTITUTION: In a scroll type fluid machine, drive and driven scrolls 1, 2 cooperate with each other so as to form compression chambers. In this arrangement, a spiral projection 1a formed on a disc part in the driven scroll 1 is formed therein with a cut-out 1j extending from the forward end of the spiral projection to the disc part in a connecting part between an arc 1h connected to an inner curve 1g with reference to an outer curve 1f and the inner curve 1g. With this arrangement, a corner part caused by a dimensional deviation in a part in which the outer curve 1f or the inner curve 1g crosses the arc 1h. Further, a high pressure compression chamber is communicated with an adjacent compression chamber through the cut-out 1j so as to relieve a high pressure to prevent overcompression.
