Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set a sculpturing depth by a nose guard in a state having a chip collection adapter secured to the nose guard by disposing a chip collection part or the like being rotatably fitted in an interposed part, and having an opening for collecting cut pieces generated by cutting an object to be sculptured by the blade of a cutter.
SOLUTION: This sculpture depth control unit 10 is formed by disposing a nose guard 30 combined by screwing a nose guard screw part 32a in the main screw part 114b of a main shaft 1114, a chip collection attachment 20 fastened on the outer circumference thereof by a set screw, and a chip collection adaptor 40 arranged sliding rotatably on the outer circumference thereof. The cutter 112 and the nose guard 30 are dimensionally designed so that the blade 112a of the cutter 112 projects downward of a tip end opening part 34a of the tip end part of the nose guard 30. Also, the nose guard 30 and chip collection adapter 40 are dimensionally set so that the opening end part 34a projects downward of a chip collection opening 42b of the chip collection adapter 40.
