Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain parts having the properties of graphite and capable of cutting, bending or the like by forming a graphite sprayed coating on metallic stock and thereafter subjecting it to forming into a required shape.
CONSTITUTION: The required part on metallic stock is thermal-sprayed with graphite powder coated with metal such as Ni to form a graphite sprayed coating on the stock. After that, it is subjected to the stages of cutting, press forming or the like into seal parts made of metal and having a required shape. The material of the base metal is selected in consideration of strength, thermal expansion, heat resistance or the like according to the using environment.
