To provide a seal roll device which can adjust the clearance and pressure of seal rolls correctly and easily corresponding to the quality and thickness of paper, apply a constant pressure uniform in the axial direction, and prevent the breakage of the seal rolls.
The seal roll device 10 has a pair of upper and lower rolls 11 and a pressurization means 20. The pressurization means 20 is composed of an air cylinder 21, an air pressure adjustment mechanism 25 for adjusting air pressure applied to the air cylinder 21, a pair of right and left pressurization arms 22 the lower ends of which are fitted to the upper seal roll 11, and a connection arm 23 for connecting the upper ends of the arms 22 to each other. The tip of the rod of the air cylinder 21 is fitted to the connection arm 23. When the air cylinder 21 is elongated, the upper seal roll 11 is pushed downward by the pressurization arms 22.
