To provide a seal tape for an ink jet recording head which has sufficient adhesion to seal an ink ejection orifice, reduces damage to an ejection device substrate surface when pealed after physical distribution, and gives no effect on printing quality, and an ink jet recording head having the same.
A seal tape H1101, which is the seal tape for an ink jet recording head, includes an adhesive layer bonded to the surface of an ejection device substrate when protecting the surface of the ejection device substrate with an ink ejection orifice formed thereon, and a base film for supporting the adhesive layer. The adhesive layer comprises a cross-linking reaction product of a silicone compound obtained by electron beam irradiation, the silicone compound including 60 to 90 mass% of a polydimethyl siloxane resin, and 10 to 40 mass% of a MQ resin. The probe tack measured value of the seal tape is 0.3 to 1.6 N. The ink jet recording head is also provided.
