PURPOSE: To form a stable partition wall between the serum or blood-plasma part and blood-clot part separated at the time of a centrifugal sepn. by using a sealant compsn. for blood sepn. contg. an alkyl ester deriv. of benzene polycarboxylic acid.
CONSTITUTION: The semi-solid compsn. contg. 0.1W90wt.% alkyl ester deriv. of benzene polycarboxylic acid, 0.1W30wt.% hydrophobic fine silica having 5W30μ average grain size and 0.1W30wt.% titanium oxide having 0.05W10μ average grain size as an inert packing material and a viscous liquid material which has compatibility with the alkyl ester deriv. of benzene polycarboxylic acid, has ≥1cst viscosity at 100°C and is inert to blood is used after the sp. gr. is adjusted to a 1.015W1.070 range and the consistency to 250W450. The partition wall having the excellent hermetic property and stability is thereby rapidly formed between the serum or blood-plasma part and blood-clot part separated at the time of the centrifugal sepn.
