Title:
SEALED BEARING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2602196
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a bearing with a seal, which has a small width and which has a high sealing function, by forming the bearing in a full roller type without a cage, by forming the seal in a separate body, and by frictionally engaging the seal with both inner and outer tracks, in follow-up with the axial movement of rollers.
CONSTITUTION: Thin rollers 15 in a row is interposed between an inner track 11 of an inner race 13 and an outer track 12 of an outer race 14. Both inner and outer tracks 11, 12 and the rollers 15 have outer diameters so that they are curved in their axial sections. Further, the rollers 15 are arranged so as to be axially displaceable between the inner and outer tracks 11, 12 in order to allow misalignment of the inner and outer tracks 11, 12 relative to each other. Meanwhile, the space between the inner and outer tracks 11, 12 is sealed with the seal member 18. In this arrangement, the bearing 10 is formed in a full roller type with no cage. The seal member 18 is formed separately, is adapted to follow the axial movement of the rollers 15, and is frictionally engaged with both inner and outer tracks 11, 12.
