Abstract:
To prevent defective sealing caused by the thickness of enclosures by adjusting the printing position for printing on the envelope paper and the side length of the envelope according to the thickness of the enclosures.SOLUTION: The sealed letter creation system 1 includes: a printing apparatus 2 that prints on enclosure paper and envelope paper; and an envelope creation apparatus 3 that creates a sealed letter by enclosing enclosures comprised of enclosure paper into an envelope formed by folding the envelope paper. The printing apparatus 2 includes: a printing position adjusting unit 20 that adjusts the position of the printing information to be printed on the envelope paper; and a printing unit 12 that prints the printing information on the position of the printing information adjusted by the printing position adjusting unit 20. The sealed letter creation apparatus 3 includes a sealed letter thickness adjustment unit 55 that adjusts, when forming an envelope, the folding position of the envelope paper so that the side length, which is to be the narrow side after the envelope is formed, is longest if the enclosure is thickest and becomes shorter as the enclosures become less thick. The printing position adjustment unit 20 adjusts the printing position according to the folding position adjusted by the envelope thickness adjustment unit 55.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
