Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal closed vessel capable of preventing leakage of radiation even when a large impact is acted thereon, and guaranteeing soundness over a long period. SOLUTION: A basket 40 is arranged in the vessel body of a canister, and the basket forms plural long and narrow loading parts 44 extending respectively along the axial direction of the vessel body. A radioactive material aggregate 42 is loaded in the loading parts and extended along the axial direction of the vessel body. A buffer member 50 is mounted on the outside face of the upper end part of the radioactive material aggregate and positioned in a gap between the upper end part of the radioactive material aggregate and the basket, to thereby suppress looseness of the radioactive material aggregate.
