Abstract:
To provide a sealed secondary battery and its manufacturing method for contributing to stabilization of the battery performance, by preventing spatter from penetration into the inside of the battery can by setting a welding portion between a battery can and a cover plate to a suitable location.
The secondary battery is to integrally mold a flange portion 10 with flanged processing to an opening end of the battery can 2, emit a laser beam 5 from an upper side of the cover plate to the piling up portion 11 after piling up the cover plate 3 to the flange portion 10, and weld the piling up portion 11 by the laser beam. The result prevents the spatter from penetration into the inside of the battery can.
