Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the recovery of a conductive condition by maintaining a blocking condition of a safety valve, after once conduction is on a blocked by deformation of the safety valve.
SOLUTION: A positive electrode terminals 18 is caulked and fixed to an aperture side end part 14a of a negative electrode can 14, containing a power generation element 1 through a gasket 16. A safety valve 20 deformed outward according to internal pressure is mounted to the inside of the positive electrode terminal 18, and the safety valve 20 is connected electrically with the power generation element 12 via an intermediate member 22. The intermediate member 22 is prevented from moving towards the safety valve 20, by a supporting member 24. A tapered spring 26 intervenes between the safety valve 20 and the supporting member 24 to add force in the direction for both of them to remove away from each other. The safety valve 20 is laser-welded P to the intermediate member 22 under the condition of the intervention of the tapered spring 26.
