Abstract:
To obtain a sealed square battery in which the outer face of a battery can is hardly damaged, and in which a crack or the like hardly occurs on the outer face of the battery can in working the battery can by a clad material.
The battery can 1 is formed by the clad material including a nickel layer. The battery can 1 is worked so that the nickel layer of the clad material is arranged on the outer wall part 1a. The clad material is applied to annealing treatment before the battery can 1 is worked and is set so that the nickel layer has elongation percentage of 15% or more.
