A sealed type lead-acid battery 10 has a positive electrode plate 25 group and a negative electrode plate 26 group insulated and arranged through a separator 14 in a container 13 and a cylindrical guide pipe 27 penetrating the container 13, and an inside end face 27A of the guide pipe 27 has a contact with an upper end surface 14A of the separator 14. An electrolytic solution 31 is injected into the container 13 by the air replacement method in which a filling pipe 30 of an electrolytic solution feed container 29 is connected to an outside end 27A of the guide pipe 27, and in which the air is introduced into the electrolytic solution feed container 29.
