To obtain a sealing compound composition, good in foaming and bonding performances and useful for preventing leakage when expanding a urethane for interior automotive trims by blending a synthetic rubber-based resin with a tackifier, a wax and a liquid hydrocarbon-based plasticizer in respective specific proportions.
This sealing compound composition is obtained by blending (A) 100 pts.wt. synthetic rubber-based resin with (B) 30-500 pts.wt. tackifier, (C) 30-300 pts.wt. wax and (D) 30-300 pts.wt. liquid hydrocarbon-based plasticizer. The melt viscosity of the composition is preferably within the range of 1000-50000cP at 150-200°C and the softening point thereof is preferably ≥80°C Furthermore, the peel strength is preferably 5kgf/inch at normal temperatures.
