PURPOSE: To prevent an accident arising in the desorption process and at the same time eliminate a fault of the function of a metallic bellows, by fitting a sealing member that contains a flexible fluid charge/discharge part to the said bellows incorporated freely protrudable and retrivable into a support member at the desorption zone.
CONSTITUTION: A chamber 2 is shifted to a desorption zone B, and the adsorbent in the chamber 2 is heated to desorb the sulfur oxide in the exhaust gas adsorbed into the adsorbent. In this case, the air is pressed into a metallic bellows 23 via a conduit and a flexible air supply/exhaustion pipe 25 to expand the bellows 23. Thus a hollow packing 24 fitted at the tip of the bellows 23 is pressure-bonded on the surface of the pole or beam in the chamber 2 to seal. As a result, a reduction of the desulfurization factor or an occurrence of the fire accident is prevented in the process of desorption. Furthermore lowering of the function due to the dust is avoided for the bellows 23 since the free end of a dust invasion preventing member 30 which is fitted like a cantilever to a support member 17 is pressure-bonded elastically to the pole and beam in the chamber 2.
