To provide a simple and maintenance-free sealing device having simple structure and size by omitting a drive part.
The sealing device includes: a guide body 2 that mounts an envelope 6 and slides it in one direction; a positioning body 11 which positions the bag part 6b of the envelope 6 on the guide body while the flap part 6a of the envelope 6 is projected from one end of the guide body 2; a flap guide body 12 which folds back the flap part 6a at the folding position of the bag part 6b and the flap part 6a of the envelope 6 by sliding the positioned envelope 6; a pair of pressers 3 and 4 which stretch beyond the terminal in the one direction of the guide body 2 while holding the guide body 2 from both sides, expand to introduce the bag part 6b and flap part 6a of the envelope 6 which are arranged across the guide body 2 on a leading end side, and are formed to press the overlapped bag part 6b and the flap part 6a of the envelope 6, while reducing the distance between them gradually toward the terminal end; and a water application means 5 for applying water on a re-wet paste part 7 coated in advance in the bag part 6b or the flap part 6a of the envelope 6 while sliding the envelope 6 in one direction on the guide body 2.
